Looking for sustainable bags and accessories - as easy and clear as possible? We help you to find green products on wardow.com with just one click using our label "sustainable". To make it easier for you to understand why we consider a product a sustainable alternative, we have grouped our six most important sustainability criteria into two categories. Currently, a product is labelled "sustainable" if it meets at least one criterion from each group.
Criteria group 1
Durability
Durable products have a particularly high lifetime due to their quality and reparability. The durability counteracts mass consumption and high waste volumes and minimises their negative impacts.
Production in the local area
The local production is characterised by shorter transport routes and thus a reduction in CO2 emissions. Further advantages are the transparent supply chains and the establishment or preservation of local jobs.
Fair and social production
This criterion includes socially acceptable production conditions and a transparent value chain for the products. In addition to internationally regulated social standards, there are a number of specific measures that are initiated and implemented by the manufacturers.

Pollutant-reduced production
Pollutants can have a negative impact on humans, animals and entire ecosystems. The manufacture of sustainable products is characterised by the reduction or elimination of harmful chemicals.
Environmentally friendly materials
The resource and energy input in the production of sustainable materials and the effects on the environment are decisive. The materials of organic or natural origin have less negative impacts on the environment.
Recycled materials
This criterion includes products with materials made from already used ingredients that have been processed into new fabrics. For example, many sustainable bags are made from ocean plastics: their production causes fewer emissions.
