Classic belts upgrade every business look and provide stylish accents for a casual outfit. Whether women's belts or men's belts, classic models offer many styling options due to their minimalistic design. If you always want to be on the stylish side, choose the popular duo – a black leather belt and its brown counterpart. They are the epitome of classic belts – for women and men.
Timeless accessories for all occasions
Classic belts are usually kept minimalistic and clean. That is why they are easy to combine and match any style. Because of this changeability, classic belts are very popular both among men and women. Whether discrete classics or lightly decorated designs – the assortment includes leather belts, patent leather belts, business belts as well as suit belts for men and waist belts for women. Classic models are designed in muted colours and measure approx. 2,5 cm to 4 cm in width. The width makes a difference for the styling. The principle is the more formal the occasion, the thinner the belt. Even the buckle design is minimalistic for classic belts. Whether men's belts or women's belts, you can't go wrong with reduced variants, they suit every occasion. The look is particularly stylish when the belt and shoes are colour-coordinated. Classic belts should also not be too long so that the end fits perfectly through the loops and stops near the body side.
Features of the classic belts
Most belts close with a pin buckle and can be adjusted five positions in length. Some models close with a plate buckle that can be adjusted variably. The buckle is usually designed with a polished metal finish: a matt surface is rather an exception. Some plate buckles are decorated with a brand logo. On the models with a pin buckle, the logo is often engraved in the bow or pressed onto the belt loops – the standard for suit belts. Classical belts are generally equipped with a rectangular pin buckle: some designs are rounded at the edges. Either all four sides of the buckle are visible or just three of them (the so-called three-sided buckles). The buckle colour matches the strap: a classic leather belt in black often has anthracite or silver-coloured buckle, while a brown one often has a gold-coloured buckle or a bronze one. Widely used are flat belts without visible seams: business belts are often designed this way. Crowned belts have an arc-shaped construction in the crosscut and consist of several material layers. These models are often decorated with a subtle tone-in-tone seam. When it comes to the material variety of the classic belts, leather or imitation leather are the absolute favourites. Patent leather belts are usually more affordable than genuine leather models.
