    The family business Picard with headquarters in Oberhausen, Hesse, is in the hands of the fourth generation by now. Since 1928 the company manufactures bags in an extraordinary product quality Made in Germany - with the tradition and experience of eight decades. The story of Picard handbags is a success story: It all began with the founder and skilled leather craftsman Martin Picard who started the success story of his company together with his sons. In the first years Martin Picard transported the sample collections to Offenbach by himself – the bags were tied to the front and back of his bike. Soon Picard became one of the leading supplier of leather goods in Germany and now also successfully established itself in the international market. The company takes care for working- and security conditions according to german standards in each office and production place. Additional to the factories abroad Picard focusses on the production in Obertshausen as well. That’s where the Picard bags of the made in Germany premium collection are produced. Since 2015 the company is run by Georg Picard – the fourth generation- after he worked for the family business for 15 years.
