Signature Flower

Since 2013, the characteristic floral motif has accompanied by Malene Birger and is found not only on handbags and suitcases. As with many other designs, the founder got her inspiration from faraway countries. As for the flower design, Malene Birger was inspired by the pattern of a box on an Indian market. Since its first use, the classic print has been constantly refreshed from season to season and can still be recognised at any time as the typical motif of the brand by Malene Birger. Whether as a pattern, emblem or embossing - the stylized flower can be found in many variations on the bags.

Designing clothes for the modern woman was the vision that motivated Malene Birger to create her premium brand by Malene Birger in 2003. The following year she took part in Copenhagen Fashion Week. After Malene Birger retired as a designer in 2014, Mathilde Torp Mader has been the company's chief designer since 2017. She aims to uphold and modernize the company‘s Scandinavian style of combining functionality with aesthetics.
