Phone bags

Modern smartphones are not just for making calls. They are, among other things, organizers, alarm clocks, maps and cameras and accompany us both at work and in our leisure time. All the more important is the correct handling of these sensitive devices. A smartphone bag offers protection against mechanical damage such as scratches, dust and dirt and usually also against rain. Phone bags serve either as a complement to a handbag, backpack etc. or as an independent accessory. Especially if you don't carry a lot with you, a crossbody phone bag is ideal as a compact daily companion. The obvious advantage: your smartphone is not only always well protected, but also always ready to hand. You have both hands free, but can quickly take a photo, write a message or make a call. Phone bags are also useful when travelling.

Special features and materials of phone bags

In contrast to the usual smartphone case, mobile phone bags are either equipped with a hand loop or with a carrying chain or strap. The loop usually can be attached and removed by a carabiner. The phone bag can therefore be used as a smartphone case, which you can take with you in larger bags. The crossbody phone bag has a carrying strap, which is normally also removable and often adjustable. Most straps can be enlarged from 90 to 140 cm. For phone bags with a chain strap, it is different: the chain is usually not adjustable. Its length is generally 110 to 120 cm.

There are different types of phone bags available. Whether in landscape or portrait format, both versions are carried either diagonally across the chest or over the shoulder. Trendsetters carry mobile phone bags as a breast pouch – this is also the fastest way to reach your gadget. Another cool carrying option: simply in the hand. It looks particularly casual but is not particularly practical. Depending on if you want to style your phone bag differently each time or always the same way, you should choose a model with an adjustable or a firm carrying strap. A mobile phone bag usually weighs approx. 150 to 300 g. The weight varies according to the material. The lightest models include phone bags made of canvas, polyester and imitation leather. A cell phone bag made of genuine leather is a little heavier but offers high durability and an elegant appearance. If the leather phone bag is covered with an inner lining, it weighs a few grams more.
