The beauty of the Arctic always fascinated both adventurers and designers alike. No wonder the Danish watch brand BERING captured the eternal ice in its straightforward, clear and puristic design. In addition to the unique style, the cool beauty is characterized by maximum material durability thanks to high-tech ceramics and resistant sapphire glass.
Arctic beauties: BERING watches
"If the pure, cool beauty of the Arctic and the simple elegance of Danish design merge with each other, it's BERING. Who previously thought that the Arctic is only something for adventurers, will be taught better by the slogan of the Danish Watch brand. The cold of the Arctic continent inspired the BERING founders to a clear design, which is reflected in the special ceramic collection, the high-quality stainless steel, the hard sapphire glass and titanium.
Technical know-how in every detail
Automatic-, Radio controlled watches and solar clocks from BERING are popular all over the world. Characteristic for the brand is the clean design, interchangeable tapes and high-quality material. The watch's case is particularly flat, which emphasizes the minimalistic Arctic cool look. Despite the incredible robustness, the wristwatches guarantee the highest wearing comfort, because of their lightness. The use of high-tech ceramics gives BERING watches extreme scratch resistance, heat resistance and are also anti-allergic. Thus, these chronometers attract us with maximum material durability and their typical minimalist design.
From an adventurer became a vision
The arctic design of the BERING brand is no coincidence. The Danish adventurer and businessman René Kaerskov dared a parachute jump at the North Pole in 2008 and was inspired by the cool and at the same time simple beauty of the eternal ice. He passed on his enthusiasm to his business partners Michael Witt Johansen and Lars Gram-Skjønnemann, with whom he jointly realized his vision of an Arctic-inspired watch brand. The three businessmen combined this with the typical Danish minimalism of their home country and created a stunning pure and simple watch brand.
The company is named after the Danish seafarer Vitus Bering. As an adventurer, Bering dared to sail into the still undiscovered area of the North Pole. In 1728 he steered his sailing ship through a strait, which was later named after him, and discovered Alaska as the first European. Just like the adventurer Vitus Bering, the three founders wanted to advance to unknown areas and thus created a unique watch history.
