    Carry-on luggage: What dimensions and weight are permitted?

Other hand luggage dimensions concern foldable garment bags: they may not exceed 57 x 54 x 15 cm. As for the weight, according to IATE guidelines, your carry-on luggage should not weigh more than eight kilos. However, many airlines allow heavier baggage as long as it meets the dimensions, and you can lift and carry it on your own. It is best to check with your airline before flying. Some companies have different carry-on luggage regulations, depending on the ticket price, departure city, etc. Tip: Carry-on luggage is usually checked for the correct size before boarding with the help of a metal box. If you know the specifications of your airline, you can check your cabin baggage yourself using a suitable paper box. Remember that wheels and handles must also fit inside!
