    A chronograph is an electronic watch with some additional features: several dials show seconds, minutes or the day of the week. Using the additional buttons on the side you can stop the time with one click. The design of a chronograph watch is not necessarily sporty because chic metal cases and high-quality bracelets made of leather or stainless steel give it an elegant touch.

    If knowing the time is not enough for you, if you need to know the millisecond and the current date exactly, the chronograph is just the right watch for you. In contrast to a normal time keeping instrument the chronograph provides some additional features. The dial and the case are much broader than a normal watch’s because there are three dials more. Basically a chronograph watch is a noble variation of a stop watch because there are two additional buttons to take the time for a competition or for your personal training. Three small dials take hours, minutes and seconds precisely until you press the stop button again. Using the Tachymeter you are able to see how many kilometres per hour you were driving. For style-conscious sportsmen the chronograph is absolutely necessary. The waterproof case, the robust craftsmanship and the luminescent hands are very practical for all-day life and you will keep your watch for a very long time. By the way there is an electronic quartz clockwork behind many chronographs because this is the most precise gear in the world and it needs no wind up. Another option is a chronograph with automatic gear which needs no battery.

    Who ever said the chronograph belonged to the fitness circle was wrong. The broad case with its complex dial is very popular in modern watch fashion. As an eye-catcher fitting to a business suit the chronograph is already established but many labels provide slimmer models for women. Usually ladies’ watches look a bit more decent and the chronograph for women has a more filigree shape. Anyway it provides the same functions as a men’s watch does. A chronograph’s case is made of stainless steel with a wristlet that has the same colour. Models with a leather wristlet provide a nice contrast between the technological case and the natural material. Popular elements of a chronograph’s style are coloured displays and a decorated bezel – that is the watches border that is used for the tachymeter sometimes. You see – there are many options to decorate the chronograph and there are no limitations for various styles.
