Oxford nylon is considered to be particularly weather-resistant. It is not coated, but manufactured in a special, close-meshed weave. Bags made of Oxford nylon stand out due to their soft sheen. The term "Ripstop" also refers to the weave of the material. Ripstop nylon is extremely tear and even cut resistant. The fabric offers a pleasant feel in the typical rake box structure and scores with outstanding durability - ripstop is much stronger than normally woven nylon. More and more manufacturers are turning to so-called ballistic nylon. The material was originally developed as a base material for bulletproof vests. The dense fabric is extremely tear and abrasion resistant. Ballistic nylon is a small exception: it is very difficult to dye compared to other types of nylon, so bags made of this fabric are usually black or other dark colours.

The storage is also very easy: nylon bags are moth proof and do not cause any special effort. Since nylon bags are crease-resistant, you can store them folded: you do not need a dust bag.
