This criterion includes socially acceptable production conditions and a transparent value chain for the products. In addition to internationally regulated social standards, there are a number of specific measures that are initiated and implemented by the manufacturers.
Pollutant-reduced production
Pollutants can have a negative impact on humans, animals and entire ecosystems. The manufacture of sustainable products is characterised by the reduction or elimination of harmful chemicals.
Environmentally friendly material
The resource and energy input in the production of sustainable materials and the effects on the environment are decisive. The materials of organic or natural origin have fewer negative impacts on the environment.

The world's most recognised independent certification standard for working conditions demonstrates commitment to social responsibility and ethics in a company's treatment of employees.
Leather Working Group (Bronze)
The international organisation consists of stakeholders from the entire leather supply chain and aims to make it transparent. Depending on the environmental performance of those assessed, a score is awarded. With a minimum score of 65, the rating is bronze.
